A Surf camp Lombok story

My friends and I decided to learn how to surf. After browsing on the internet we find a surf school in Indonesia where you for a pretty good price can stay, eat and even get to talk to Swedish speaking instructors, since I am Swedish that felt reassuring.
After some emailing with the surf camp we get the info that the cheapest flights always fly out on Sundays. Well, said and done; we book our tickets to arrive in paradise a Sunday in September. Now it´s just the matter of waiting until we can finally go…
wonderful days..!
Sunny days, warm water and good surf!
Can you ask for more?
Last week we went to the waterfalls and had a couple of jumps, pretty high but freaking hilarious.. Later on we ended up at a little dining place (warung) in Praya eating an amazing nasi champur.
Some good snorkling and fishing has been going on as well but....
The surf is great, the waves are here, what are we waiting for?
See ya soon!
Big swell and punishment suit?
Have a look at our new punishment suit, this must be the best one so far!
Friday night was Jungle party night, and a hilarious evening cause of all the good costumes and funny ideas.
Budi our chef has come up with a fantastic thing called live cooking, which is an entertaining and delicious way of making food.
The sessions group went to Ekas (next bay) the other week, it turned out to be an amazing day with quotes like: that was the best wave of my life...nice!
A new swell should be here on wednesday....oooh yeah!
who learns to surf before he knows how to swim?

It's documented now and we're going to show you how our amazing, little indonesian neighbour aka Hol takes his first wave without even knowing how to swim properly! Most people walk before they can run, but Hol surfs before he can swim!
It was a day with beautiful pictures of the local kids playing, it's amazing how simple and fun a day at the beach can be.
What about the first bonfire next to the bowl?

First camp started!
First camp's here and we've had a great start with an amazing crew from all walks of life.
Craig's back for his third session with us, of course he's been surfing like a maniac
and is improving more and more.
A SURF CAMP STORY (SWE)
SKATE BOWL DESIGN

This is what the skate bowl will look like, it is designed by Filip Andersson and will be ready in July.
We still have room for volunteers,
Nyepi Bali Silent Day 16th of March-Airport closed

For those of you who are booked to arrive at the camp on the 16th of March, you need to plan your trip so that you arrive to Lombok on the 15th. This is due to to Balinese New Year holiday Nyepi, also called Silent Day which this year is on the 16th of March. This day, everything is closed, people stay at home with their familys and tourists have to stay inside the hotel grounds for 24 hours. The airport and the harbours are also closed so it is not possible to make a trip this day.
Happy New Year Bali!
