Man (short for Abdurahman)is part of the reason the Surfcamp exists, he was worked with us from the start, and a big help to make it happen and is one of the key people in the company. He is the boss of our local surfcoaches as well as responsible for the accommodation part of the surfcamp. He also surfs with our guests from time to time. He lives in Gerupuk with his wife and daughter where they together run the family business Sugesty Homestay.

“He is the best recruitment we have made so far” –this you hear amongst the European staff on the Surfcamp about Kadek, our Janitor, the man who can repair just about anything.
The Community center is on!

We have now started with the foundation for the community center at the school yard. The building is modifeid a little bit and will be 10x12m with a bamboo roof structure. We are working to get the floor finished before our spanish arcitect friends arrive on the 29th (in one week). Things are looking good so far and we are really looking forward to se the outcome of this exciting bamboo project!

Meet our local staff Episode 1: Keto, General Camp Assistant
The camp wouldn´t exist without the help of our local co-workers and it´s time you get to know more about them.
First out is Keto , who rocked up at the camp about 1½years ago and sort of employed himself by starting to give a helping hand wherever needed. Soon he became an important part of our lives and he has been with us ever since.

Well, hello!
Just wanted to show you guys new pics from the latest weeks and the first camp of the season, it's been a bit hectic cause we've had full camps but very nice to come back to some work routines.
Our new coaches are doing a fantastic job and are super loved by the guests..

The season has just started and we are back in business with new guests, a few new staff members and many new projects.

The camp is now closed for the season and we have focused on celebrating Christmas, New Years and also to make some improvements on the camp like the finishing touches of our yoga beruga. We look back on our best season so far and here are a few things that have happened:

Here in Gerupuk the kids are an inspiration to many people and for many things, one of them is yoga in a skatebowl and while raining! Is there anything stranger but yet so fun?
