SEAWEED CLASSIC – THE SEARCH

The first of many Seaweed Classic Surf Competitions was held in Gurupuk Bay on the 17.04.2010 at Outside Rights, with 16 hot local surfers including Danker and Sakir representing Lombok Surfcamp.

We had a good swell giving all the guys a great wave to perform on, producing 360’s, Vertical Reo’s, Huge Floaters and perfect 10 tube rides, the surfers and the judges were in there element with an extra bonus of no crowds.

The competition was ran like a 1970’s comp purley for fun with everyone hooting, cheering and consolidating each other.

The award ceremony with trophys and prizes was held that evening at the surfcamp with a picture show for the guys producing lots of laughter and smiles.

All in all it turned out to be a super fun day with everyone now awaiting the next Search.
